Rick & the Ramblers Western Swing Band - Riding My Guitar 2013 Rick Norcross and Vermonts top Western Swing Band have just issued a new CD of 12 tunes, both old and new. Rick is heard on lead vocal and rhythm guitar. Another lead vocalist is Taryn Noelle who is in the spotlight on a western swing oriented version of the country classic Back in Babys Arms. She is also heard on lead vocal on Wurlitzer Prize, a fantastic version of the pop standard Best Things in Life are Free and another super job on former Asleep at the Wheel member Leroy Prestons Full Moon Full of Love. Another fine vocalist is the bassist, Dave Rowell. He is heard on vocal on a real gem, Rick Norcross and Charlie MacFadyens Dont Make Me Beg and Ricks Walking Around Money. The album also features fiddle wizard Doug Reid and the lead and rhythm guitar of Dono Schabner. Charlie MacFadyen is the steel guitarist, pianist and accordionist, Brett Hoffman is heard playing drums and Buck Maynard plays rhythm guitar. Young Julia Shannon-Grillo sings Ricks I Dont Want to Play With You, and Josie Ritter does harmony vocals. The album opens with a Rick Norcross original, the swinging The Way Weve Always Done it. Other Rick originals are the autobiographical Riding My Guitar, You Cant Make it Up, Take Your Time and Tainted Money.
