Right; I have discovered a business opportunity. As I type this, I am dying...okay, thats being slightly dramatic. But I do have a fever/sweats which are nicely balanced out with chills that have me loading every dressing gown known to man over my shivering body. I also have a killer sore throat and a headache from hell. And Ive infected my husband. So he is a write-off as well. In addition, I have a 4 week old who is feeding round the clock and not the best sleeper. I also have a 2.5yo who is adorable when he isnt wearing his turd pants. You know what would help me? A babysitter. Not for the kids - for me. I want someone to fetch me hot teas when my teeth are chattering, and to get me an icepack when my forehead burns. I want someone to make me a dinner that doesnt involve takeaway and the consumption of which may actually aid in my recovery. And I want someone to tend to the piles of laundry that threaten to tip over and suffocate us all, thus ensuring my smallest man has ample onesies that do not have poop stains. I imagine that this is what close knit family members offer one another, but in my case, I will need to contract out. Any takers?
