Right now Kylie is in radiation getting her mask made of her face and head so we can start radiation next week. They have her under general anesthesia and intubated during this procedure. She was in such an amazing mood this morning. Her little personality shines through more and more each day. Its been such an amazing turn around. Its like she knows shes cancer free and ready to take on the world! Aside from her extra perky mood, the last few days have been a little rocky with fever and infections. Her fever got up to 102.7 which was very concerning considering she was already on 3 antibiotics and an anti fungal for the infections she got last week. Luckily nothing has grown in any of her blood cultures and we think it could just be her body still working to fight off her previous infections. Yesterday Kylie got to have a little play date with my girlfriends daughter Lila. She is 5 days older then Ky. When Kylie and I start going back and forth from SD to NY we will be staying with them while we are out here. Its going to be so nice for the girl to have each other around and to have a home here in NY. I am so incredibly blessed for the amazing people I have met while weve been out here. Ive established a life if you want to call it, while being out here and as much as I cant wait to be home I will miss these people so much.
