Right relationships mean everything to you, Wonderful God. You hate the sin that keeps us apart. You loved us enough to send your Son to straighten out the problems between us. You were willing to suffer and die to have a right relationship with me. I am so grateful. Now I want to have with you and others the kind of relationships you desire for me to have. I confess that i have been proud and self-centered. I have put my selfish desires ahead of the needs of others. I have treated others as objects to be used for my purposes. All of these are sin. Please forgive me. Show me wrong relationships in my home, job, church, and community. Help me to do what is right to love and treat others as you love and treat them. But most of all, I yearn for a right relationship with you. I want to have a heart for you. I do have a heart for you. Forgive my inappropriate desire to have a right relationship in order to get what I want from you. From today onward you are the goal of my life and the desire of my affections. I pray to you for more than what you can do. I desire answers to my prayers as the product of our friendship, not as the reason for our friendship. I love you for you, not just for the good you give to me. I love you. In the name of Jesus, who is the key to our relationship. Amen.
