Righto chaps, a little experiment to answer a question - whats better to glue MDF together? a. Silicone b. PVA glue c. Liquid Nails I cut six 100x250 bits of 18mm MDF and glued them together at the edge; much how we would assemble a box, and let them set under weight for 72 hours. Then i held them in a bench vice and gradually applied weight at the end of the lever, in the form of water until the joint broke. Including the weight of the container (650g) the results are as follows: Silicone: 850g PVA: 5450g Liquid Nails: 8400g.
