Rio update: Dr. Otto of our University Animal Hospital called at the end of his shift and said he was very happy with how Rio is doing. Rio is standing and aware of his surrounding. Blood tests show everything is settling back to normal but he may get a mild case of pancreatitis. Not uncommon, Dr. Otto said. Rio hasnt been interested in eating (standard Rio) but he is getting stuff to keep his glucose steady. We are getting ready to head over and transfer Rio to the overnight vet for observation.
