Rise and shine buckaroos. If youre going to be accused of anything, make sure its of being a good person. I believe in redemption as my supervisor Bob Pettigrew told me in 1989. Those words have stuck in my head. I have been sweating it through these warm days that folks love so much. It has at least keep that demon Duke Energy at bay. But there again, where we be without power? Think about it. It is cool and nice today. I will be in the shade of an oak this evening as the sun sets. With any luck I will either get a hog or a decent buck. I wont take anything else. I hunt public land or actually the massive Sumter National Forest in Union. I hike far back on the rivers. This weather is perfect. Since the coyotes arrived and DNR turned loose unethical hunters to thin the herd in the 90s the population has dropped way down. Now they can be thick around suburban areas and roads as in the winter they feed on the clovers DOT has planted along the highways. They love hostas and azaleas too. I have 2 black and blue toes on my left foot and the meat knocked off the top of one. I am diabetic so I have to be careful. It would be more prudent for me to sit and elevate the feet. My ankles are also swollen. I just cant sit still and watch TV or not move. I have to be moving. If I get real lucky I may find an arrow head or point. But first it would help if I could find my keys. My buddy Bob had to help lift me to get in the window last night. Have a great day folks.
