Rising two notches to #17, here’s the first pop hit for the French-Israeli folk pop duo Lilly Wood and the P***k. The song was originally released on their album Invincible Friends in 2010, but it wasn’t released as a single here in North America. Then, a German electronic producer named Robin Schulz remixed the song and, in June 2014, he released it as a single. Schulz re-mixed the song without permission, using a CD of Invincible Friends as the source. He initially made his remix available as a free download, to the consternation of the copyright owners, Wagram Music. Robin Schulz could have gotten himself into a bit of trouble because he didn’t get permission to remix the duo’s song, but as it turns out, it’s a good thing that he did. Robin Schulz’s re-mix topped the charts in several countries including, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Greece, Italy, Poland, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. And, now, it’s moving up the chart’s here in the USA. At #17 this week on AT20 here’s Lilly Wood and the P***k featuring Robin Schulz on “Prayer In C”. https://youtube/watch?v=fiore9Z5iUg
