River Road Closure Via~ Joe Warrenville River Road will be closed to through traffic from Ferry Road to Warrenville Road Friday, October 25 through Saturday, November 2nd. The purpose of the closure is for DuPage Countys contractor to install 5 storm sewer crossings across River Road. The contractor will install electronic changeable message signs 7 days in advance of the closure. The residents on River Road will be notified with door hangers and the School District, Fire District and Police Department have all been informed of the closure as well. This work is a necessary part of DuPage Countys flood protection berm project along River Road. The contractor will be able to install the 5 storm sewers crossing River Road more efficiently and quickly with the road closed. Residents on River Road will have access to their properties via River Road or via Curtis. Access to Bower School will be available from Ferry Road only.
