Riverbend Fall/Winter Newsletter Good day Riverbend residents! We would like to welcome all the new home owners and tenants in Riverbend. If you have not noticed, homes have been selling quickly in Riverbend and, prices are rising. Seems like the market is getting stronger! We have had several complaints regarding loose dogs and cats defecating and urinating in neighbor’s yards, if you run across this problem call Broward County Animal Services at 916-359-1313. This is a free service for domestic animals only. The county handles cases such as dangerous dogs, stray cats, barking dogs, lost pets and adoptions, and stuff like. If you have a wild life issue you have to call a service such as Ft. Lauderdale Wildlife Control or such. Web Site: fortlauderdaleanimalcontrol.org/services.html The seal coating has been completed. We would like to thank you for your patience during this time. Sidewalk pressure cleaning will occur on 11-26/27 if you would like your driveway done email linda@belair-bam with your address, telephone number and, request for cleaning. Cost will be approximately$25-$35 depending on what you get done on driveway and walkway. If you DO NOT have e-mail you can call 954-749-2429 and speak to Linda E-mail is preferred!!! Garbage pickup days are Mondays and Thursdays, recycle bins (the blue containers) get picked up on Mondays only, bulk pick up is the first Monday of every month. If you are not familiar with what bulk pick up is, it’s anything you cannot fit in your garbage can, if it’s not in a bag or a can, it will not get picked up .DO NOT put plant material on the sidewalk during non bulk pick up days as it will not get picked up! The playground equipment in the play area by the pool is old, peeling, rusted and at the point where it is becoming a liability if left standing. We will have to remove this and suggestions are being solicited for replacement options. We are planning on a Holiday gathering December 7th at 7:00PM poolside. Please bring a covered dish or a favorite beverage. Any volunteers are welcome! Parking on the street after 11:00PM is against the governing documents and your car will be towed. There have been several towed already and it is a costly expense! You may park in front of your home, with two wheels on the sidewalk if you do not have room in your garage and driveway. Remember, the sidewalk is the home owner’s property so DO NOT park in front of somebody else’s home in this fashion. YOUR CAR MAY BE TOWED! Additionally, parking at the pool is for residents using the pool during daytime hours. Residents may use the parking spaces for overflow parking at night. On the weekends, cars will be towed in the daytime if parked there! Residents using the pool have not been able to park since cars parked overnight are being left there during daytime hours on the weekend which is when the pool is mostly in use. . Please adhere to the rule of not sending children under seventeen unattended to the pool, without a parent or a guardian over twenty one years of age. Our insurance carrier requires this as a policy stipulation. The pool is open from sun up to sunset, unless there are any scheduled activities. When you leave the pool please have the courtesy of placing the furniture back where you found it and lower umbrellas so they will not break or fly away. Riverbend has had a new palate of paint colors for about two years now; Sherwin Williams on 160th avenue has a book with the colors, as does Alliance Property Systems. The old colors are no longer available for painting Riverbend homes, you must choose a color from the new palate and fill out an Architectural Request Form for all work performed in the exterior, front of your home. Basketball nets are not permitted as per association documents, if you have one please remove it before the management company has to get involved. If your roof needs cleaning, please do so. If your roof is not white any longer, it needs cleaning. If your paint is fading, which most old colors are, start planning to paint your home in the very near future. Alliance is monitoring both of these items closely Please keep your garbage cans and recycle bins out of sight from the front of your home. They can be stored behind the fence or in your garage. They are NOT to be stored in your walkway or in front of your garage door. Single room rentals are not allowed in Riverbend! Only one year leases, for the whole home are permitted. Please, if you have Palm trees of any kind in front or side of your home; pick up the fronds when they fall so they don’t block the sidewalk or just sit there looking nasty. Riverbend is a residential community; it is not a commercial neighborhood. Complaints about businesses in Riverbend will be forwarded to City of Sunrise Code Enforcement.
