Riverside Trauma Center Approved to Provide Counseling Services for those Impacted by the Boston Marathon Bombing As the Boston Marathon bombing case becomes part of the mainstream news again, many people who were impacted by the bombing and related events may be experiencing renewed or continuing reactions. The Massachusetts Resiliency Center can help. The Resiliency Center, funded through the Massachusetts Office of Victim Assistance (MOVA), is a central resource hub to connect people impacted by the bombing to a wide range of services to assist in their recovery and to connect these individuals with each other. Services for trauma, mental health, hearing loss, and other specialized rehabilitation are available to individuals in and around their local communities, and via technology. As part of these services, Riverside Trauma Center clinicians have been approved to provide counseling services, which will be funded by MOVA. The Resiliency Center provides services and activities free of charge to anyone impacted by the bombings, including the families of those killed or physically injured, their family members, individuals in the area of the bombings or the events that followed, first responders, and others who by virtue of their unique history may have been triggered or traumatized by these events.
