Rixit. The problem: primer an entire sculpture without having to turn it (save drying time). Hang it so all surfaces can be sprayed. I used a coat hanger cut and bent for this particular piece (photos 1 and 2). Photo three is the finished product -- Blue Dog. He is made from welded old auto parts and will be mounted to allow his tail to be lifted to open our driveway gate from inside the property. The gate is activated by detecting movement of ferrous metal (usually a car). Moving Blue Dog placed near the magnetic detector opens the gate for people wanting to leave (or flee) our property.
