Road Closures for Run 13.1 Half Marathon GREENSBORO, NC (May 12, 2014) – Traffic on some roads between the Shops at Friendly Center and Leonard Recreation Park will be affected by the “Run 13.1” Half Marathon on Sunday, May 18th as approximately three dozen Greensboro police officers control intersections to provide for a safe route for participants. Beginning at approximately 6:45 a.m. the following portions of roads will be closed: • Hobbs Road between Friendly Avenue and New Garden Road. Residents who have no other route in or out of their neighborhood will be allowed to proceed with caution. • Northline Avenue between Pembroke Road and Hobbs Road Motorists should expect delays on all major streets that cross Hobbs Road between Holden Road and Old Oak Ridge Road. Drivers and pedestrians are reminded that the police officer’s hand and arm signals take precedence over all other traffic control devices. All roads should be opened to normal traffic by approximately 11:30 a.m.
