Road Rage. Yes, I have just become a victim. This idiot was speeding in the Waterford Centre parking lot (where I train as a professional boxer and personal trainer at Topbox Gymnasium) and almost ran into the side of my car. Instead of a quick apology, I got the middle finger. As luck would have it, he would stop at the traffic light in front of me turning right onto Witkoppen road. He made several angry gestures into the rear view mirror, so I applauded his efforts. He got out of his car and proceeded to come and swear at me, he then tried to pull me out of my car, and when I tried to put my window up, he tried to break it. In the one photo you will see his grubby prints. After some more swearing he got back into his car, tried to reverse into me then pulled off. I also pulled off as there were allot of people hooting behind me. He then tried to swerve into my car and tried to drive me off the road, thats when I managed to get a clear shot of his number plate (the other photo is unclear but you can see him pulling another middle finger as he pulled away). I then took a slip road which took me away from him. The right thing to do is report it to the police right? I tried, they insinuated that I provoked the conflict and that there is simply not enough to open a docket. It was attempted assault. I am a professional boxer, and yes, I could have (probably) stood up for myself by getting physical with him, but I dont resort to violence. I could foresee and envisage step by step what I could have done to harm him in retaliation. I did no such thing. I have never thrown a punch out of the ring. I had the state of mind to not fight back, instead to collect evidence and live (unharmed) to tell the tale. What if this happened to you, or an elderly lady or someone which could seriously have gotten hurt by this fool? He is out there, hot headed and full of himself and he is a threat to decent, law abiding people. Please share the hell out of this. This incident occurred just after 16:00, Friday, 22/08/2014.
