Road closures - SA Emergency road closures CFS advises that a serious bushfire is burning out of control at Sampson Flat in the Southern Mount Lofty Ranges near One Tree Hill, Crouch Hill, Millbrook Reservoir, Mount Gawler, Devils Gully and Bare Hill. The SAMPSON FLAT fire is travelling in a very erratic manner and is burning freely in all direction towards Golden Grove, Upper Hermitage, Break Neck Hill, Kersbrook Township, One Tree Hill Township, Little Para Reservoir, Chain of Ponds and the Townships of Inglewood, Houghton, Cuddlee Creek, Lower Hermitage, Forreston, Gumeracha, Lobethal, Mount Torrens, Charleston, Williamstown, Birdwood, Woodside, Lenswood, Mt Pleasant. There is a risk to lives and homes. The uncontrolled fire is burning in Scrub. The following emergency road closures are in place: South Para Road at the bridge over the South Para waterway about 3km south Williamstown Forreston Road and Warren Road at Mt Crawford Bassnet Road about 1km south Para Wirra Rd and the creek crossing Uley Road and Gawler to One Tree Hill Road Blacktop Road and Yorktown Road One Tree Hill Road and Seaview Road Kersbrook Road and One Tree Hill Road Martin Hill Road and Warren Road Forreston Road and Adelaide to Mannum Road Adelaide to Mannum Road and Warren Road North East Road and Haines Road at Tea Tree Gully Lower North East Road and Perserverance Road Blackhill Road and Adelaide to Mannum Road Paracombe Road and Torrens Hill Road Paracombe Road and Gall Place Gorge Road Mawson Road and Harris Road Coldstore Road and Croft Road Cuddle Creek to Lobethal Road and Berry Hill Road Gumeracha to Lobethal Road and Nether Hill Road Birdwood to Mt Torrens Road and Burford Road Traffic into Kersbrook is closed in all directions CFS wish to advise that the fire in the Tantanoola and Glencoe area has changed. Ground crews and Fire Bombing aircraft are actively working to contain flare ups and hot spots in the fire area which is increasing the amount of smoke visible from the fire. Although the immediate threat to public safety has reduced the fire may still threaten your safety. Residents of the Glencoe, Glencoe West, Tantanoola and Burrungle areas will need to remain vigilant as fire conditions may change due to fluctuating weather conditions. Emergency road closures are put in place in emergencies to stop you from going into an area where there is danger for safety reasons. The following emergency road closures are in place: Springs Road between Princes Highway and Diagonal Road Overland Track at Dow Road Mile Hill Road and Princes Highway Springs Road and Sims Road Emergency road closures do not stop you from leaving an area where there is danger.
