Roadrunner Recap: LAX, Volleyball, Soccer Varsity Girls Lacrosse defeated Marist High School 12–4. Scoring for the Roadrunners: Katie Mahoney, 5 goals and 2 assists; Allison Kurek, 3 goals and 2 assists; Madison Lozanoski, 2 goals; Alexandra Plenys and Anne Canent with one goal each. Ashley McGee had 8 saves, with good play by Madison Waun and Jessica Gomez. The Boys Volleyball team defeated St. Edward in straight sets, 25–20, 25–10, to remain undefeated. Strong blocking and dynamic hitting lead to the victory. Some notable efforts include: Brady Ryan – 18 assists; Dan Gregor – 4 blocks, 5 kills; Allen Bell – 4 blocks; Will Cullen – 7 kills, 8 digs; Steve Patchak - 8 digs. The Girls Varsity Soccer Team won 5-0 over Timothy Christian. The team played very well right from the start. The defense did a great job of keeping the ball out of our half the whole game, leading to many goal scoring opportunities. Goal scorers: Jen Salata-2, Matri Gragnani-1, Claire Ramsey-1, Kelly Renehan-1. Peggy Masterson earned a shutout. The team now prepares for a very competitive match Thursday against JCA.
