Roane Shelter will take in on average 200 cats a month during the summer when kitten season will be in full swing. We normally take in around 100 dogs or puppies a month during the summertime and this number continues to grow. The Roane county Humane society offers a low income spay and neuter application. This application is based on the number of people who live in your household and your gross monthly income.
