Robert Burns... Thanks for sharing this. I did do something like this back in 2011 when we had ?uestlove , Diamond D and Masta Ace as the guest judges. There were three challenges that year. Classic Beat Battle, Remix Battle ( producers had to remix rap songs ), and Live Re-Sample Battle. In the 3rd classification, there were 4 teams of producers. They each had the same folders of samples and they had to make beats that night, backstage. In the end David Miller and Sam Sumner took on Aderson Gonzalez-Arce . Ad won, and was crowned on ( of three ) champions that night. Ive thought about expanding this concept, but in the end, Ive observed that the audience just wants the hear the producers top beats. The current structure gives them that. Im all about that challenge, but Id prefer to find a new way to do it.
