Robert Klee, commissioner of the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, will visit Gillette Castle State Park in East Haddam and Lyme on Saturday as part of Free State Parks Weekend. Klee is expected to arrive in the early afternoon and will stay for about an hour, touring the park and meeting with visitors, said Cyndy Chanaca, DEEP spokeswoman. Before going to Gillette Castle, Klee is also scheduled to visit Chatfield Hollow State Park in Killingworth, arriving at 10:15 a.m. All parking and entrance fees will be waived throughout the state park system on Saturday and Sunday.
