Robeson Community College will host Diabetes Day on Saturday. The free event, held in the school’s auditorium, will include workshops on diabetes prevention and care; cooking demonstrations, lunch, blood sugar screenings; and local vendors. There will be an optional a mile walk and 5K run at 8 a.m.and an optional morning worship service, also at 8 a.m.. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. and the workshops run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. he event is sponsored by The Robeson County Community Advisory Board.
