Robin Williams is dead. Robin Williams who??? Never mind. It doesnt matter if you knew him or not, I was amongst millions of his admirers. Rarely I have come across an actor who had such kindness n warmth in his eyes. The point here is that he killed himself. A man who inspired n entertained millions around the world eventually hanged himself n thats what has shocked everyone. He suffered from depression n Bipolar disorder...a fact that even I didnt know till I read about it now. So, now his suicide doesnt really surprise me. Most of us hardly know about mental disorders or have the courage to talk about them...as, in our society it continues to be not-to-be-talked-about thing. But then surveys tell a good percentage of people in our society are affected by some kind of mental disorder or the other- the numbers will actually stun anyone...if they were to do a bit of research on it. Robin Williams was a success story. A legend. How easy it is for us to have jealousy for people who are successful...without knowing the other side of their life...without knowing what they have fought all their lives to reach where they have. A friend of mine was fighting a terminal disease, yet he didnt let the world know about it. I once asked him the reason. He said there were many who were jealous of his success n he wasnt going to give them the pleasure of knowing that he was soon going to die ! His reaction made me numb for a while. I can only say...that dont be jealous of success stories but be inspired. And if you come across people who are disturbed or depressed....be tolerant n kind...after all its just chemical imbalance in the brain...that could affect anyone in this world at any point of time in life...even you or me...or someone we are close to. And as for Robin Williams I dont have to say RIP for I know he will Rest in Peace for he gave his best to the world while he lived. pravin talan #RIPRobinWilliams
