Robin and Larry met with the surgeon this morning! Date is set for September 5. He sounded very positive, and stated that its a straight shot through her chest to get the tumor out. Only worry he has (which is a small worry), is that the tumor could have attached to the phrenic nerve. This nerve controls the diaphragm and breathing. Hopefully we wont have to worry about that! Until we have the full biopsy of the entire tumor, we arent sure if any follow up chemo or radiation will be needed. Robin is in good spirits! We are all ready for this to be over!
