Robin is gone. Many are still struggling. I grew up watching - TopicsExpress

Robin is gone. Many are still struggling. I grew up watching Robin Williamss works. I laughed and cried to many of his roles, so did my mom. There was something in him that gave his movies a special atmosphere that so many of us enjoyed. He was known as a comedian who made people laugh with an ease rarely seen these days; an actor like no other. Robin was also human, and his life was full of up and downs. This part of him was invisible even among the gossip circles. Because mental illness is invisible. Like Robin did, millions and millions struggle day to day to stay alive. Our struggle is trivialised by society and the media. Its always something that will pass, you just have to get up, but depression is very real, its ugly, and its not as simple as having fun one day and being with loved ones in order to get better. As someone who is struggling to stay strong and keep going, Robins story touches me deeply. I dont know if things get better, but now there are more reasons to keep fighting. I hope his tragic death finally brings mental health awareness to the mainstream. I only wish you couldve experienced even half of the happiness you gave us. O captain! my captain! our fearful trip is done.
