The underlying point behind the new law is to make clear that these dogs are vital members of our law enforcement family and integral to public safety. Today in Montgomery County, together with Sheriff Bono and DA Risa Vetri Ferman we placed Sheriff badges on each of our 3 K-9s. I was proud to participate and thank the K-9 officers and their handlers for their team efforts to keep us safe.
