Rock was so crazy over the experience of Tour de xx, so signed up for Tour de Bintan earlier this year. So as to support him, I signed up last minute Gran Fondo. I did not train for this. It was crazy riding away from tight cutoff time. Rock and I made it to 73km 3:20, but he started to cramp after that. I went ahead and chasing the next cutoff 126km at 3pm...then at 2nd last water station, there was NO WATER! It was real hot and was either hydrate, eat, and pour water over my head. I felt like a thorn among the roses (guys)...so had many boyfriends who gave me a thumbsup. At the last 30km, I was pedalling like crazy and motivated the guys in every way I could. There was one guy who said I dun think we can make it I said Just focus on your riding. Dont care about that. Hope he made it too. As for Rock, he got picked up at 126km and he is happy to make it to that distance and he said this is a very painful experience. Of course we feel like we are like Darlie dark and very tanned. A big thanks to Rock. If not for him, I wouldnt have such a crazy experience of finishing 154km (made extra dist) while the Women Category did 135km.
