My VMA Predictions 1) Somebody will do something to offend our Christian beliefs. C’mon guys, this isn’t the BET Gospel Awards. If you choose to watch, don’t be shocked or surprised. 2) There will be words to songs that we will not understand. Some rapper, rocker, or somebody will sing a song that we do not understand! If you’re like me, you will just ask your interpreters, also known as your kids. 3) There will be performances in genres of music that you don’t like. It won’t just be your favorite genre. If you don’t like it, channel surf, check your social media newsfeed, and even go grab a snack. It’s ok if you don’t like everything. Who does? 4) Somebody online will suggest you should be spending that time with God. Matters not that you may have read your Bible all day today and spent time in worship. Somebody will suggest that your time with God should occur during the VMA’s. I’ll leave that right there… 5) The ALS challenge will somehow be incorporated. Let’s face it, wether you are passionate about ALS or not, it’s just politically correct to dump a bucket of ice water or give money to that charity right now. I would be surprised if it’s not incorporated into the award show. 6) People will be posting and tweeting about the show. WARNING! Your news feeds will be boiling over with posts about the award show. You can’t beat it, so join in or log off. Or choose the other option of purposely posting things contrary to the awards show just because you can! 7) Someone will wear something outlandish. You will drop your jaw in wonder! Somebody always does it for the attention. It never fails (unless Lady Gaga decides to go traditional this year). That’s it! Add to my list in the comments if you want. Enjoy the show!
