Roller coaster of emotions the last couple weeks. The loss of Steve Hobson, the joy of the outpouring of generosity from many of you to help stop a foreclosure, and yesterday we had to put my Moms beloved Ginger (I always called her Ginger Sue) to sleep. Dad got Ginger after he was diagnosed with cancer back in 2001 with the idea in mind she would be companion and guardian for Mom. Mom has lived alone in her house with Ginger since 05 when Dad passed, and they were unseparable. We think she was between 14-15, old for a large dog to be sure...but to watch Mom go through it (shell be 91 next week) was gut wrenching. Another good-bye to another good friend..on a happier note, 4 more donations arrived yesterday and were now about halfway to our original goal. My most sincere thanks for you who have donated, you have big hearts and the animals (and humans) love you for your kindness. As soon as the donations end, I will tally up and post the outcome.
