Rolling green hills in moonlight Are just one if the many reasons Why a night hike heals the soul. The quiet shadows, Soft hum of wildlife, And slow drifting clouds Are all a life and majestic Moving painting of now. My two dogs cover the range Darting back and forth Like arrows flying at night. The alternating Low and high of insects Makes me think of Going camping as a kid. The wonder of fire, candles, Flashlights, night walks, Stars, laughter, sleeping bags, And night sounds, As I fell asleep... Now all coming back to me.
