Romans 12:1-3 12 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Have you ever thought what it would take to truly give yourself as a living sacrifice for God? You must serve humbly in the body of Christ. Translated that means to me being active in church work. Even better getting the whole family involved in church activities. Your action are a witness for Jesus Christ. Love what is good and hate what is evil. Love must be real and sincere. (Romans 12:9) If you are for real people will know it. They will feel it and want to be part of that love. Everyone will want what you have as a Christian. If somebody curses you or persecutes you bless them anyway. (Romans 12:14). People will see how you handle adversity and look up to you. You will become a beacon, a source of people’s strength in times of trouble. You will be blessed as you point them to Christ. If someone does evil to you do not repay them for that evil by taking revenge. Do what is right in the eyes of everyone. Live at peace with everyone. For the Lord will avenge your enemies. Instead do good for your enemy. Feed him when he is hungry. Give him drink when he is thirsty. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:17-21. I have seen enemies turned to friends by doing good to them instead of evil. I guess that’s why two wrongs don’t make a right. So if you are going to be a living sacrifice to God the heart is a good place to start. The Devil fights us for our hearts everyday. If we are going to be true living sacrifices for God we need to give him our whole heart. Don’t sweat the details. God will take care of them. You become a living sacrifice for God he will bless you so much and he will make your family bond unbreakable. That is something this nation sorely needs (strong families serving God) So open your heart and let Jesus make all the difference in your life. He will make your world a wonderful place.
