Romans 8: "FREEDOM" For many, this is their favorite chapter in the NT. There is so much awesome stuff in this one chapter, that I will break it up into two days! If you stranded someplace, and found one chapter of the Bible in a jar, what would it be? I can see how many would suggest ch 8 of Romans. . . So many great issues discussed such as: Our freedom, Spirit vs. flesh, our adoption, The Holy Spirits Ministry, a glimpse of our future, tongues . . . Just to name a few! Here are some key verses for the 1st half of the chapter: Romans 8:1 Therefore, no condemnation now exists for those in Christ Jesus, Romans 8:5, 8 For those who live according to the flesh think about the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, about the things of the Spirit. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8:21, 23 that the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage of corruption into the glorious freedom of God’s children. And not only that, but we ourselves who have the Spirit as the firstfruits—we also groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for adoption, the redemption of our bodies. Great stuff . . . More tomorrow!
