Romantic poetry is not allowed in Islam... According to Ahadeeth... there are only a number of conditions of doing poetry... For defense:- to resist the enemy attack through poetry... To do it to mention Allahs attributes... And to talk wisdom... like poetry of Rumi R.A and Iqbal R.A and Saadi R.A... Nevertheless... I had asked the scholar Myself about it and he said that Romantic poetry is alright to compliment your spouse...! #Alhamdulillah ^___^
