Rome was not built in a day is an expired lazy, and no-good-for-the-21st century Roman rhetoric that we Nigerians have conjectured for use to make us feel good for nothing, and to justify our organized chaos, anarchy and retrogression while the rest of the world is moving forward in developmental strides. Nigeria is too rich to be poor. We have everything but cant manage anything, but are world class authors and executors of high profile corruption. The crude oil theft since 1999 till date is more than enough to build Rome four times. How can we even build this imaginary Rome without a foundation set for its take-off?
