Ron Howard’s “Rush” recounts the real rivalry between Formula One racers James Hunt and Niki Lauda back in the seventies. Chris Hemsworth easily cornered the turns with his representation as Hunt, the playboy who won in races but not in relationships while Daniel Bruhl deserved the checkered flag as Hunt’s intellectually intense rival. A lot of the races were represented by a mere still containing a race’s location, date and winner’s name, but plenty of racing action remains. All in all, “Rush” riveted me… with the relationship AND the races.
