Ronald Benbow Traveling from: Burlington, Vermont (Originally from Metro Detroit, Michigan) Zumba Licenses: B1, B2 & Aqua Zumba Hello ZIN Family! I’m Ronald Benbow a current ZIN and Health Fitness Professional. I’ve been teaching group fitness and personal training for four years. I have a passion for inspiring and educating people, especially those new to fitness and wellness. I’ve taught a variety of classes including Step Circuit, TRX, Sculpting, PIYO Strength, Hip Hop Hustle, Hi-Low Interval Training and by far my favorite is teaching the Zumba fitness program. My Zumba history: It seems like it was yesterday, spring of 2009 I was volunteering for a Red Cross event on the East side of Detroit. During the fundraising event there was a Zumba demo at the site. I still hear that song the instructor used “Flirtatious” ringing in my head. Fall of 2010 I was working as a student employee for Oakland University Campus Recreation. I notice that Zumba was on the group fitness schedule. Thanks for that Zumba demo being so “Flirtatious” I decided to make the next move and attend a class. My first class was a fun experience. I enjoyed the opportunity to dance and share a positive experience with a diverse group of people. After the class, the instructor approached and complimented me on how I was such a great dancer and encouraged me to consider taking the instructor training. As of March 3, 2012 I completed the B1 training and the rest is history. Nothing is more rewarding than sharing love, connecting, dancing with a diverse community and making a positive change in the lives of all people. My heart truly melts when participants approach me with excitement because they claim they are no longer taking medications for medical condition(s), or just simply making their Zumba experience a positive one. I want to THANK the participants for trusting and inspiring me! I also want to personally thank the University of Vermont, Burlington & New England ZIN community for embracing my passion and mentoring me in the Zumba program from the Zumbathons to Zumba retreats. I love you all deeply! I look forward to continuing this journey and positively changing lives. While doing so I’m happy to help to be a part of something historic and share lots of love Feb. 8th 2014 in Las Vegas with all of YOU! Im excited to be apart of this event and looking forward to dancing with you all! Zumba Love
