Ronald Greene Exo 20: 8 REMEMBER the Sabbath day to keep it holy. All 40 men that God used to record His word kept the Sabbath and that includes the 12 original apostles and Paul the thirteen apostle. 9. Six days (from Sat evening to through to Friday day evening) you shall do all your work. 10. But on the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall not do ANY WORK, you, nor your son, nor daughter, your manservant, nor nor your maidservant, nor your livestock, nor the stranger within your gates. 11. For in six days the LORD made the heaven and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and sanctified. All of Gods holy days are called Sabbaths and are holy convocations. Exo 31:13 Speak also to the children Israel, saying, Truly you shall keep My Sabbaths, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations to know that I am the LORD Who sanctifies you. 14. You shall keep the Sabbath therefore, for it is holy to you. EVERYONE (all humans and not just Israel) that defiles it shall surely be put to death, for whoever does any work on it, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. Verses 15-18. The weekly Sabbath and the annual Sabbaths are my lifeblood. Christ said that He is LORD of the Sabbath and therefore the Sabbaths belongs to God and not to us to do as we wish.
