Room 33 (2009): Six friends on their way to Seattle for a Roller Derby tournament (Because apparently Roller Derby is still a thing) take a wrong turn somewhere and end up in the woods. Running low on gas they decide to seek shelter in what they think is an abandoned nursing home. While exploring the place one of them is attacked by a little girl with a shovel. After calming the blood spattered girl down they attempt to talk with her. She seems frightened and withdrawn at first but eventually tells them her name is Roxy and that her friend Rachel is dead and she ran in here to get away from the killer. Things get weird when Roxys voice changes to a clearly malevolent male voice and warns the group that they will die. One of the group leaves on that note and is later found in the woods with their eyes cut out. Later on we learn that the place is was not an old folks home but a psychiatric ward. (Room 33 was the shock therapy room) Roxy begins to freak out and tell them that the killer is still out there. Somehow during the night Roxys uncle gets into the place and goes searching for her. The group ties him up and demands to know of Roxys connection to the old place. He tells them that her name is Rachel and Roxy is just one of multiple dangerous personalities the child has. We also find out that Rachels father was an orderly at the asylum until one day during an episode she murdered him by cutting out his eyes. so this charming little girl is really an escaped psych patient with multiple personalities. One of which happens to be the ghost of her father who is committing all the murders. It ends with an ambulance taking the ones that died out of the asylum and Roxy/Rachel has her head down, sobbing and says He killed them. For a movie with a 2.7 rating according to IMDB this was very entertaining and as an added bonus the only black man in the film looks like Antoine Dobson 6.5/10
