Room for rent in West Oakland! Starting in September or October, whichever works for the best fit to the house. Rent is $437.57 a month plus utilities. About the house: The five-bedroom house is on a fairly quiet and safe street only a short walk to MacArthur Bart. There is a very large yard with a fire pit. There is also a washer and dryer that will be going with the current housemates that are leaving, but plans are in the works to procure new ones. Smoking is ok but outside only. About the room: The room is in the back corner of the house with several windows, great natural light and immediate access to the back yard. It is the quietest room in the house. It has a small closet and hard-line internet access. About the housemates: All of the housemates work regular jobs at varying hours. We are often social but also appreciate regular respites of quiet time and do our best to keep it low-key on weeknights. Everyone here works as a Burning Man staff member at some level. Pets: The house currently has two dogs. A well behaved and pack-socialized dog could be considered. Cats are right out as they would be eaten by the dogs. We are looking for someone with reliable income, fair to good tidiness, who can make a 6-month to a year commitment.
