Roots..... the DC Fontana song Saturn In Her Eyes way before DC - TopicsExpress

Roots..... the DC Fontana song Saturn In Her Eyes way before DC Fontanas egg was fertilised by the M-sperm....this is my old band Bash Out The Odd playing in the acoustically difficult Tamworth Arts Centre back in the summer of 1989. I originally wrote Saturn in my dank, dark bedsit at Upper Gungate in the cold winter of 1987 when Rob Cross (who I believe filmed this clip here), Poge, Gavin Skinner, Barry Douce & others would hang out with me for my infamous Yellow Submarine & Barbarella parties (when i would happily chat with Donald Duck after he would climb down from my lampshade & sit his duck ass down on my cold bed next to me). The song was originally recordced as a demo by The Space Seeds, my 1988 band with Mark Brindley on lead vocals & when that group evolved into BOTO we carried on playing it on stage as you can see and hear here..... Likewise my song Switchblade Love was written on the same day & recorded by the SS & gigged by BOTO. Both songs were thenre-sculpted for the debut DC Fontana album Six Against Eight. This BOTO line up featured Mark on vocals and guitar, yours truly on fresh faced bass sitting too highly on my chest, Pete Woodward on guitar, John Bates on keys, Uncle Dave on drums plus the brass of Mark Allison, Martin Cooper & Bryan Hurdley.
