Rose. 1/30. When Rose grew from concrete I imagine she was angry Tiny seedling Humble beginning In the narrow crevice between Two slabs of cracked sidewalk On the west side of a street In a city whose name doesn’t matter She’s here Unsettled in space she made war for Circumstance demands She be reasonable, respectable, silent, still Simply, die where she was left behind Water, light, anger make for unorthodox graces Unconventional growth in hostile places the darkest, scarred, hardened cant stop a movement She broke free of fragile frame Bulb burst from tender stem Full bloom where death would be Easy, keeping peace When Rose grew from concrete I imagine she was angry --- This is yesterdays 30/30 piece. Since it is the first, Ill share it here. The rest will be shared with my accountability group until the end of April at the 30/30 Living Room Set. #NaPoWriMo2014
