Rosemary E. Maher Rosemary Elizabeth Maher, 83, of Fredericksburg, VA, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 30, 2014 with her three daughters and her sister at her side. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Rosemary grew up in Bellerose, NY, raised her family in Somerset, New Jersey, and retired to Fredericksburg, Virginia. In Somerset, Mrs. Maher worked at Barood Real Estate, Our Town Century 21 and FedEx in customer service. She was a parishioner of St. Matthias Catholic Church in Somerset, New Jersey where she participated in the CYO youth groups. In Fredericksburg, she was also an avid member of the Lee’s Hill Enhancement Committee. Mrs. Maher enjoyed knitting, needlework, landscaping, gardening, and loved the outdoors and time with her family. She was a dedicated mother to her surviving children, Kevin Maher, John Maher, Mary Maher, Patti Garcia, and Rosie Misenhimer. Also surviving are her sister, Patricia Conboy, and five grandchildren, James, Lukas, Rose, Sonja, and Danny. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Joseph Maher and brother Billy Mullen. Services will begin at 9:30 am Wendesday November 5th at Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton St. Somerset, NJ followed by a 10:30 am funeral mass at St. Matthias in Somerset. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway Township, New Jersey. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 6-9 pm.
