Rosemary W. Diaz, MSW, MS, CDI is offering two separate trainings and you are encouraged to attend BOTH trainings as you seek to meet your goal of becoming a CDI. Workshop for CDIs! January 7 - 11, 2015 and/or June 1 - 5, 2015 January Training: Focus on knowledge of the CDI, role and responsibilities as well as code of ethics June Training: Focus on skill development, performance interpreting, and team interpreting After attending the training you may feel more prepared to take the written RID CDI exam; however, this is not the focus on the training. The focus of the January training is to give you a comprehensive foundation of what it means and what it takes to be a CDI. The focus on the June training is to give you foundational skills and experience from which to begin your journey as a Deaf Interpreter. Snacks will be provided Dorm-style rooms and meeting space is located at: Mission at the Mission. 310 G Street, Fresno, CA 93706 (Downtown Fresno) Personal vehicles are safe in a locked gated area. Training begins at 12 noon on the first day and ends at 12 noon on the last day. Additional details will be provided after you complete your registration. The cost of the training: January, 2015 ONLY: $275.00 per person including lodging* and meals**/ $215.00 per person no lodging/ only meals Payment due by November 30, 2014 June, 2015 ONLY: $275.00 per person including lodging* and meals**/ $215.00 per person no lodging/ only meals Payment due by April 30, 2015 January, 2015 AND June, 2015: $525.00 per person including lodging* and meals**/ $465.00 per person no lodging/ only meals 50% of Payment due by November 30, 2014 and remaining 50% of payment due by April 30, 2015 *Lodging includes 4 nights in dorm-style rooms (2 persons with a private bath) and the facility provides all linen, including towels. **Meals are from lunch on the first day until breakfast on the last day; for a total of 12 meals. Participants are encouraged to stay at Mission at the Mission for the entire training to ensure that we have plenty of time to practice, study, and apply new knowledge and skills with peers while we are here.
