Rotarians of Rotary District 3860 - FYI: Urgent message on new TRF dinner and relief mission! Dear First Class Presidents, PDGs, District Officers and Fellow Rotarians, There has been a complete revamp on the TRF dinner, district relief mission and the schedules. The event will not be held in Bohol anymore because of many reasons, which i will explain in another email. We will now have the TRF dinner in Cebu City and the relief mission in Northern Cebu for the typhoon victims. Check the schedule at the bottom of this message. Please be reminded that November is Rotary Foundation month and all club presidents and assistant governors should be focusing on member contributions to the TRF. This Sunday November 24th, we will have a very special visitor from Rotary International who is a Trustee of the Rotary Foundation and also a Past RI Vice President. Its rare occasion a TRF Trustee visits a district, especially in the Philippines and I believe this is the first time for us. We should never pass up this rare opportunity of sharing time with a TRF trustee as it may not happen again for a long time. For your information, TRF Trustee/PRIVP Monty Audenart was nominated this year to become the RI president for RY 2015-16 but unfortunately he was not selected. PRIVP Monty will be our speaker and guest of honour for the TRF dinner that is set tentatively at Casino Espanol de Cebu on Ranudo Street in the evening of November 24. He will honor all new PHF, MPHF, Major Donors and 2nd level Major Donors. And since the time of his visit is early for our Rotary Year 2013-14, we will accept pledges for the above four types of donors but he/she should be about half way to achieving that goal. Just to clarify that all Rotarians in district 3860 are invited to attend TRF dinner and the relief mission. Your immediate confirmation is needed to reserve your seat for TRF dinner by email to district office: ry13d3860@gmail since we need to budget the TRF dinner. The capacity of the venue is small so there is a strong possibility it will be sold out. I would like to request all Past District Governors to please attend TRF dinner as our special guests are asking for your presence and that will really make them happy to see your full support. Along with PRIVP MOnty will be RI Director-Elect Guiller Tumangan and PDG Jun Perez (Chair for Arch Klump Society-Philippine initiative). New Schedule of events on November 24 & 25: (Final update by friday Nov. 22) 1) TRF Dinner 6:30pm, tentative venue is Casino Espanol de Cebu, Ranudo Street/Ramos Avenue Dress code: semi-formal Cost: Estimated at P500.-P600. 2) Relief Mission: District-wide and all are encourage to attend. Use you own transport. Transport: Out of town Rotarians must advise their participation so we can ask Cebu clubs to accommodate your ride.
