Rotherham United: Millers eye more arrivals Rotherham United are believed to closing in on more new signings. Talks with players are understood to have taken place this week. There have been reports linking winger Ryan Hall and centre-half Richard Wood with the Millers, but these haven’t been confirmed by the club. Chairman Tony Stewart told the Star he thought there could be activity this week. “There are bids in for more players,” he said. Hall, aged 26, once of Leeds United, finished last season at MK Dons and impressed in the 2-2 draw at New York Stadium, which was the last home game of the regular season. He had a spell on loan at Sheffield United earlier in the campaign before being released by Leeds over a disciplinary matter. Wood, 29 next month, is now at Charlton Athletic, having started out at Sheffield Wednesday where he made more than 170 appearances. Rotherham need cover at centre-half after releasing Claude Davis and have already said they are interested in Wood’s former Owls teammate, Mark Beevers, now with Millwall. Meanwhile, coach Paul Warne has become to the latest figure to tip the Millers to adapt to life in the Championship.
