Rowan 2003 Swedish Warmblood Gelding 16.1hh Competing FEI Intermediate II Located in Edmonton, AB $100,000 Rowan is a handsome FEI schoolmaster with results up to 71% at FEI Intermediate I and up to 66% at FEI Intermediate B with CDI experience. Sired by Rotspon (by the legendary Rubinstein I) and out of a Come Back II mare, he has the classic Rubinstein laid back personality and good work ethic. In 2013 he won the Thunderbird Touch of Class Freestyle High Point and placed in all his classes. At the Calgary CDI2* he was the clear winner on all three days, doing a full sweep of the small tour at the CDI. In 2014 Rowan made the move up to the medium tour at the Calgary CDI3*, winning his classes each day in both the CDI and Gold show. In September he will be competing in his first Grand Prix at the FEI U25 Grand Prix level. He has only begun working on the piaffe/passage/ones in November 2013 and is improving leaps and bounds each ride - there is room for development into a confirmed Grand Prix horse! Rowan really enjoys hacking out and is safe to ride alone or with a group and is comfortable over stadium fences and more solid obstacles. He is a true gentleman and very fun to ride! Rowan is an uncomplicated ride for a rider with an educated seat and is safe for a less experienced rider. No spook or naughtiness. He will make an excellent teacher for a motivated Amateur or Junior in a program, and even for an up and coming professional to learn the ropes at FEI and show successfully. Very sadly offered for sale – he has been a great horse for me to learn on and has been my stepping stone into professional and international competition. Rowan will be sold only to the best home!
