Royal village of Salnoo has its own important historical past to be inhabited by its Royal Clan members ,as the geographical situation of the Border land area had its significant strategic importance for the kEHLOOR state and for its prosperity. It was a time between 1550 to 1590 when this region where todays village is flourishing was a thick dense forest, which was invaded by the sponsored dacoits of baner and khaned(presently Sundernagar and Mandi) States.The rulers of both the states, banner and khaned were blood relatives to each other, and their joint strategy was to capture the kandroor pargana of kehloor state. So to meet their desires they started to infiltrate their best military persons in the fake resemblence of dacoits to weakening the hold of kehloor state over the region. To weaken the hold in border area Intruders start to murder and looting of the residents of the area. This created a extreme havoc in the kandroor pargana of the kahloor state.This created a extreme panic throughout the state as their was a daily news about the blood shed in the area. So the Ruler of kehloor state had moved its troops into the area to investigate and to make the land free from the dacoits. Soon the troops came to the conclusion that the dacoits are highly decorative weapon expert and are known to the technicalities of gurella war fare.Second thing was the cover of the thick dense forest that was helping them a lot. Another thing was the number of dacoits was not falling down as many hundered of them was killed but they were still in good numbers, as this could only be done by regular supply of soldiers from the neighbouring state. After thorough Investigation and Intelligence inputs this was cleared that banner and khaned are sponsoring these Intruders. After delegating this issue with both the states, they simply refused about their sponsored ship to the intruders. The Incidents of the looting and murder was still going on during the delegation talks. So a high level meeting took place in the capital city under the King and was Decided that a permanent cantonments had to be established in all affected and non affected border area so as to counter the invasion of invaders into the territory and to safeguard all the important borders of the state. So a cantonment was established in the present Salnoo region to confront all the Invasions toward the north west of state besides the river satluj. The first commander was a cousin brother of the king who commands over the area with his subordinate three brothers and his troops. They very soon successfully prevails peace throughout the region and provide a rigid base to the prosperity and strength to their state. Todays resident of the Salnoo village are the descendants of the Royal commander brothers of that era.
