Rs 2.75 crore distributed to flood survivors by Geelanis group so far Thursday, 01 January 2015 All Parties Hurriyat Conference, the anti-India resistance group in Kashmir has so far distributed aid to the tune of Rs 2.75 crore to flood survivors, a spokesman said on Thursday. Giving the break-up, the spokesman said under chairman APHC, Geelani the group has distributed cheques worth rupees 85 lakh, 10 lakh cash, food items worth 1 crore 32 lakh, bedding and clothing worth 34 lakh and medicine worth 14 lakh rupees. He said that the donations and the alms which were given by the well-off people has been handed over to the deserving persons. If the people will continue their donations in future then that will also be distributed with honesty and if it will not happen then this process will automatically stop and the today’s function will be termed as last function, a statement quoted Geelani as saying. Geelani was addressing the people at the function held at Hyderpora office in which cheques worth 50 thousand rupees were distributed among the deserving people of Baramullah, Bandipora, Pulwama and Srinagar.
