Ruffles was rescued off the euthanasia list at Maricopa County Animal Care and Control. He has been through a long journey since his rescue. He is so greatful and happy now to be healthy and well cared for. He is now just waiting for his forever home. He is 11 months old. He is a shar-pei/mastiff mix. He is potty trained and kennel trained. He will need to go to a house and not an apartment and have room to run. He does have a dominant, protective nature and will need a strong leader. He does know all basic commands. He needs someone who can spend time with him and give him plenty of attention and exercise. He is very loyal to his family and so loving. Due to his size and rough play, small children are not recommended. Though once he meets kids, he is friendly. He just doesnt know how to play gentle. He does need slow introduction when meeting new people. He is protective of his family. Once comfortable, he will love all up on you. He thinks he is a 70 lb lap dog. He should be an only dog, but with an experienced owner and the right dog, an exception may be made. Must be an indoor dog. He is fully vetted and healthy.
