Rules and Regulations for Harvesting Talents 2014 The Harvesting Talents Contest objectives are to promote and strengthen praise and worshiop to God for His glory and honor. Objectives of the Contest: Discover the talents of our children and encourange their gifts and talents. Musical Categories 1. Soloist 2. Instrumental 3. Pantomime/Praise Dance Every contestant will determine the category in which they will perform at the time of registration. Regulations and basis (Registration deadline) Registration deadline is December 31, 2013 Rules for the Contestants The contestants will have 3 minutes for their presentation. Contestants should have the talent or gift to sing, play instruments, pantomime or praise dance (to Christian music) and have to be between the ages of 5 and 12 years old. The contestants can be soloist, duos, or musical groups, which also include pantomimes or praise dancers. Criteria of the Contestants in the Contest: Not be a professional artist or have recorded professionally. The contestants will have to interpret traditional Christian songs, your own composition and maintain originality. The contestant should come with 2 songs with a track (preferably Ipod) or have their own music, or the organizers can provide live music. Please note, if you will be using a track (CD) please provide before December 31, 2013. Motives for Elimination 1. Use of secular music 2. Inappropriate clothing 3. If a contestant tries to influence the decision of the judges 4. Pass the 3 minute time frame Stages of the Contest Registration will begin October 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013. The judges for the contest are completely professional and their decisions will be according to the established rules and regulations of Harvesting Talents 2014. The judges will be composed of 3 people who are specialists in music, song, pantomime and praise dance. We will also have a fourth judge who will determine the winner in the case of a tie. The judges decisions are final. Criteria for Qualification The judge will qualify the contestants according to the following criteria: 1. Quality of interpretation: 0 to 10 points. 2. Vocalization : 0 to 10 points. 3. Stage presence: 0 to 10 points. 4. Rythym and harmony: 0 to 10 points. 5. Vestiment: 0 to 10 points. Awards There will be awards for the winners of the contest. This contest will be transmitted live by “Radio Manantial en Cristo (88.1 FM), internet radio, television and internet.
