Run Forrest Half Marathon Trail Run McPherson starts his winter campaign with the Run Forrest Trail Run On Sunday Scott McPherson will compete in the 10km race which is part of the Run Forrest Half Marathon Trail Run on Sunday 9th June. He is using the run as a great way to start his winter training and a lead into the VIS/Triathlon Victoria Development Team time trials to take place the week after. After coming off a great summer triathlon season where McPherson was awarded 2nd place in the Elite section in the Series Gatorade Triathlon Series behind former AIS/VIS scholarship holder Jamie Huggett he is looking forward to working hard over winter to see whether he can make the same improvements. Scott’s coach Adam Beckworth will also be heading down there as support & participating in the 10km event. Run Forrest coincides with the 8th Annual Otway Soup Festival which will also be held on Sunday 9th June from 10am at the Forrest Public Hall. The festival features homemade soups, conserves, pickles, relishes, homebrew beers and wines and a wide range of free family entertainment including a jumping castle and market stalls.
