Running the traditions.... or running for the traditions??? ================================================ Well... as the world is galloping to chase the technology, there are still few left who are fighting to protect our traditions. We were on our last visit to the Camel Fair grounds, and there started this sudden rush and announcements in the stadium. Horses with there riders were lined up across the stadium, each representing their own village in the race. And on the mark, the race began! It lasted only for few seconds, multiple rounds happened after that, filtering the riders for semifinals...... And At last.... last 2 remained...... One of them was this old rider with the scarlet turban and white moustache, attracted more people. He had this extra ordinary spirit and passionate smile on his face, that gave the proof of his devotion and belief he has in his traditions. He rode, not just to compete, but to make sure this tradition of the past stays alive. To keep it safe as the identity of his culture. The smile of satisfaction and joy of continuing the legacy of his ancestors reflected on his face... ....
